General Medicine & Primary Care Clinics

A clinic operated by a handful of volunteer doctors, nurses and community members began providing free healthcare to newcomers to Canada who found it difficult, often impossible to obtain the medical treatment they needed.

CCRIHC’s teams of nurses, nurse practitioners, and volunteer physicians provide comprehensive primary medical care to refugees and displaced migrants, including undocumented and medically uninsured newcomers.

We provide general medical treatment and advice, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic medical problems for children, youth, and adults.

Our teams also administer vaccines to children and adults and we make referrals to specialists and provide support to those who are pregnant without care.

Our medical providers are a compassionate, empathetic and devoted interdisciplinary team of allied healthcare professionals, who firmly believe that access to healthcare is a human right for everyone. All information is confidential and never shared.
We provide care and advice without judgement of immigration status or the ability to produce a health card, or pay. CCRIHC is a lifeline to newcomers unable to otherwise access healthcare. We can provide medical documentation to support immigration and refugee asylum claims.
