Chiropody Foot Care Program

The chiropody program at the CCRIHC provides chiropody services to patients of all ages, with emphasis on prevention of lower limb amputation among persons with diabetes mellitus and/or vascular diseases. The services are free of cost but referral from your primary care provider (family physician or nurse practitioner) is required.

The Chiropody program is a CCRIHC healthcare initiative committed to delivering essential foot care services to individuals of all ages, with emphasis on pain management, wound care and preventing lower limb amputations among those affected by diabetes mellitus and/or vascular diseases.

The program operates under the principle that early intervention and comprehensive foot care can significantly reduce the risk of complications and enhance overall foot health. This is a free of charge service to all refugees and undocumented patients. 

 Chiropody Program Supports Include:

  • Assessment and Management of Foot Pain
  • Diabetic foot assessment and education
  • Infection and wound care
  • Treatment of painful skin lesions and toenail deformities


Please Note:
Referral from your family doctor or nurse practitioner is required. If you don’t have one, please book an appointment with one of our Doctors/Nurse practitioners.
